Tractors. Reclaimed Wood. Maple Syrup. Binoculars. Horse-riding Bride. What a visual treat shooting Lydia and Raj’s Vermont farm wedding. I met Lydia years ago when we were both studying abroad in Australia. We continued hanging out back home at our respective colleges. At Penn, we watched Harry Potter and ate cheesesteaks. At Cornell, she let me ride her horse Lily. Though time has passed, Lydia has very much retained all the goodness in her and found an equally amazing partner in Raj.
The wedding took place on Raj’s family maple syrup farm on a perfect fall day. Lydia rode into the ceremony on Lily. Emerging from the woods, I captured a shot of Lydia looking with her head down talking to Lily. Though everyone was ready, I couldn’t bear to interrupt this moment. I waited a bit longer, and then gave Lydia a nod when she looked up. And off she flew.
